Founded by Roger and Mary Jane Jensen of Gladstone, the company's history dates back to when Roger's Furniture opened on 3rd Avenue North in Escanaba nearly thirty years ago. The store began as a warehouse concept in a historic building and transitioned into a unique home-furnishing experience, closely tied to the Jensen's moving business, Guindon Moving & Storage. This allowed for excellent pricing on quality products, which contributed to the store's rapid success.

The concept of Ashley HomeStore was introduced in 2006, marking a new direction for the furniture store. With the support of Ashley Furniture, America's #1 furniture and mattress dealer, the Jensen Family was able to bring a totally new furniture concept to the Upper Peninsula. The Escanaba store was the 239th Ashley HomeStore in the US, and it has since expanded to include a second location in Marquette. This beautiful new store offers a vast selection of furniture, accessories, and bedding spread across two levels, including popular brands such as Purple, Beautyrest, and Tempur-Pedic.
