Ambiance and Service
The majority of reviewers had a exceptional experience with the ambiance and service at Ash Hearth & Bar. Many praised the upscale casual dining environment, with some even mentioning that it felt like a special occasion. Servers were consistently praised for their friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service. Matt Boyce specifically highlighted his server's "pleasant demeanor and extensive knowledge of the menu."
Food
The food was a major highlight for many reviewers. Fabulous dishes included the Grilled Avocado, Elk Loin, Rushing Water Trout, Smashed Fingerlings, Fat Candles, Brussel Sprouts, and Wagyu Filet. Lauren Calcari noted that everything she tried was "10/10," and Jen M. enjoyed the chicken, pork chop, potato, brussel sprouts, and grilled avocado. Isaac Bolton raved about the Wagyu Filet, saying it was "nirvana in a plate."
However, not all reviewers had a positive experience with the food. Eric Huebschman felt that the prices did not match the quality, and Nicole noted that the grilled bread cheese was "awful" and the porterhouse was "well below par." Kelcey Sullivan was disappointed with the portion sizes and quality of the dishes, stating that the scallops were "three medium-sized scallops on a plate" and the prime rib was "half fat and not even a big piece."
Value
Many reviewers felt that the prices at Ash Hearth & Bar were too high, with Eric Huebschman and Kelcey Sullivan both noting that they would not recommend the restaurant due to the cost.
