Empowering Excellence in Science, Engineering, and Technology
The Chinese-American Engineers and Scientists Association of Southern California (CESASC) was established in 1962 as the Chinese Engineers' Club of Southern California. The name was later changed in 1968 to better reflect the organization's mission and purpose. CESASC is dedicated to serving as a platform for engineers and scientists to enhance their expertise through technical conferences and workshops, highlight their achievements through its annual Achievement Awards, expand their career opportunities through global and local networking, and protect their interests and rights through organizational efforts.
CESASC's Achievement Awards have been presented annually since 1969 to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the fields of engineering and science, as well as those with distinguished professional careers in the United States. Past recipients of these awards include Nobel Laureates, members of the US National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering and Institute of Medicine, corporate and university executives, members of Committee 100, and public officials. In 2011, CESASC was honored by the Chinese American Museum (CAM) as the recipient of the Excellence in Science and Engineering Leadership Award in CAM's 15th Annual History Makers Awards Ceremony.
Services Offered
CESASC offers a range of services to its members and the community. The organization hosts technical conferences and workshops throughout the year to provide opportunities for members to learn about the latest developments in their fields and share their expertise with others. In addition to technical conferences and workshops, CESASC also hosts an annual awards ceremony to recognize the achievements of individuals in the fields of engineering and science. These awards help to raise the profile of the organization and its members, and demonstrate the significant contributions that Chinese-American engineers and scientists have made to the field.
CESASC is also committed to protecting the interests and rights of its members and the Chinese-American engineering and scientific community. The organization works to promote diversity and inclusion in the fields of engineering and science, and advocates for policies and practices that support the professional development and success of Chinese-American engineers and scientists.
