Our skilled therapists can provide a neutral and safe environment for you and your partner to work through your issues and improve communication.

• Child & Family Counseling: Resolving emotional problems with your child or adolescent can be challenging. Our skilled staff can help improve your family relationships, address behavioral issues, and improve your child's ability to positively interact with both relatives at home as well as teachers and fellow students at school.

• Individual Counseling: Whether you are having problems with family members, friends, or love relationships, have job dissatisfaction, feelings of depression or anxiety, or a general dissatisfaction with the direction of your life, we can help. Our qualified therapists will work with you to develop coping strategies, improve communication, and enhance your overall well-being.

• Employee Assistance Program: This is a voluntary, work-based program that offers free and confidential assessments, short-term and long-term counseling, as well as follow-up services to employees who have personal and/or work-related problems. Our program is designed to help employees balance their work and personal lives, manage stress, and improve their overall well-being.

We make every effort to understand the financial needs of our clients and utilize a sliding fee schedule when clients do not have mental health care insurance. We are committed to returning phone call inquiries as quickly as possible and scheduling appointments within 48 hours after a phone call is placed.

Our office is conveniently located one block from the Rutherford train and bus station, and there is ample free parking on site. We are located in a medical arts building where many professionals provide a wide range of health services.

Meet Our Team

Our team is led by Dr. William Penney, Doctor of Behavioral Health, NJ Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (Clinical Director). Bill's goal is to ensure that every patient receives the highest quality mental health services available. He has more than 30 years experience providing a range of mental health services to individuals, families, and couples. Bill has previously served as the director of a large residential treatment facility for psychiatrically impaired children and adolescents. For more than twelve years, Bill taught on the graduate level at Seton Hall University. Bill's main goal is to help his clients improve their daily functioning as well as improve their overall well-being.
