At St. Michael's Episcopal Preschool, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn, explore, and grow. Our preschool is operated by St. Michael's Episcopal Church, and we are committed to delivering exceptional education and care in the Episcopal tradition.
Our History
For over 20 years, St. Michael's Episcopal Preschool in Mandeville, LA, has been a beloved institution in the community, offering outstanding academics and kindergarten preparation. Our school provides a loving, safe environment for children taking their first steps away from home, preparing them academically, socially, and spiritually for their educational journey.
Our Program
Our half-day program is designed for children from 12 months to 3 years old, while our full-day program caters to children from 18 months to 5 years old. Our summer camp program is available for children aged 2 to 5 years old. Our curriculum includes reading and writing readiness, math readiness, large and small motor skills activities, daily prayer and pledge of allegiance, chapel time twice weekly, art, Spanish, and music classes weekly, and indoor and outdoor play.
Our Staff
Our experienced and dedicated staff are trained in CPR, child and sexual abuse issues, and safe food handling. Our student-to-faculty ratio is 7:1 for our 3-4-year-old classes and 5:1 for our 2-year-old classes.
Our Campus
Our 12-acre campus is shared with St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Mandeville, and is surrounded by piney woods. Our 17 classrooms and five outdoor playgrounds are monitored by 32 cameras.
Our Governing Board
St. Michael's Episcopal Preschool is governed by a school board comprised of faculty, members of the church, and parents, grandparents, and guardians of our students.
