St John's Lutheran Nursery School

At St. John's Preschool, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment that fosters the growth and development of young children. Our mission is to guide children into successful and purposeful lives, rooted in Christian values and principles.

Christian Orientation

Our preschool reflects a Christian orientation to life, faith, and values, providing a unique and educational experience for children. Our staff is comprised of licensed and certified teachers who are committed to nurturing the intellectual, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual needs of each child.

Programs

We offer programs for 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds, and 4-year-olds. Our curriculum is designed to promote the growth and development of children in various areas, including:

• Social Growth: Learning to get along with others, sharing, taking turns, developing fair play, and respecting one's own property and that of others.
• Emotional Growth: Developing a sense of responsibility, self-reliance, and reasonable self-control.
• Intellectual Growth: Learning to initiate and create, following simple directions, asking questions, observing the world around them, and developing language ability (including introduction to letters and numbers).
• Physical Growth: Providing opportunities for physical activity, developing muscular coordination, poise, and grace.
• Spiritual Growth: Learning to see God in the world around them, growing in faith with the knowledge of Christ, worshiping God daily (at home, school, and church), and growing in Christian living.

Admission

We welcome children of all religious affiliations and encourage families to schedule a tour by calling (631) 588-4347. Parents will receive a registration packet, which can also be mailed out or picked up at school. Once classes are filled, students will be placed on a waiting list for that class.
