Benefits of Pilates
Pilates is renowned for its ability to sculpt toned muscles, improve flexibility, and enhance core strength. The precise and controlled movements engage deep stabilizing muscles, leading to improved posture, balance, and joint stability. Pilates works wonders in rehabilitating injuries, promoting pain relief, and preventing future ones. By increasing muscle tone and improving flexibility, Pilates complements other forms of exercise and enhances athletic performance in numerous sports.
Lisa Tobias: A Passion for Pilates**
Lisa Tobias, the owner and chief instructor of Pilates Bodies, discovered the transformative power of Pilates during her undergraduate years as a dance major at USF. Impressed by its ability to strengthen and flexibilize her body while refining her movement precision, Lisa pursued her certification in the STOTT Pilates method, a globally recognized and comprehensive system. Her dedication to sharing the benefits of Pilates led to the establishment of Pilates Bodies in 2001, where she has been guiding clients towards a healthier and more balanced lifestyle for over 20 years.
Lisa's passion extends beyond the studio walls. She incorporates Pilates principles into all aspects of her life, finding it to be the key to her own pain-free and injury-resistant body. Outside of teaching, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, her husband Bryan, and their two daughters. She believes that Pilates is a gift that keeps on giving, fostering both physical well-being and a lasting sense of inner peace.
