I'm Richard Spears, the passionate photographer behind Spears Photography. While my background might surprise you, it includes 30 years in law enforcement as both a street cop and a detective. I retired in 2019 and fully embraced my love for photography, which began with a simple 35mm Minolta SLR camera back in 1984. I wanted to capture the milestones of my son Rick, and that first camera sparked an enduring passion. Over the years, my journey in photography led me through motorcycle rallies, hoping to land a spot in EASY RIDER magazine, and eventually to the world of wedding photography.

It's funny how life unfolds. The adrenaline rush I enjoyed during my law enforcement career finds a new outlet in the unique energy and excitement of weddings.
