Our Beginnings

Paradigm Care & Enrichment Center was born from the shared dream of two sisters, Angela and Michele, who, armed with Elementary Education Teaching degrees from Western Michigan University, embarked on a fulfilling journey as Kindergarten and First Grade teachers within the South Lyon Community Schools system. Throughout the 1990s, they dedicated themselves to nurturing young minds and fostering a love of learning in their classrooms. This experience, coupled with their passion for early childhood education, ignited a desire to establish a preschool that would provide a strong foundation for children as they transitioned into formal schooling.

A Vision for Excellence

As dedicated educators, Angela and Michele observed firsthand the importance of high-quality preschool experiences. They witnessed a growing gap between the readiness of entering kindergarteners and the demands of the curriculum. Driven by this realization, they sought to create a learning environment that would not only ignite a child's imagination and curiosity but also equip them with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive academically and socially. Leveraging their years of experience on various committees within South Lyon Community Schools - including curriculum writing, school improvement, and hiring committees - they gained invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of early education. Their commitment to ongoing professional development led them to acquire specialized training in a multitude of areas, further enriching their pedagogical approaches.

Paradigm: A Place for Nurturing Growth

With a deep understanding of child development and a wealth of practical experience, Angela and Michele established Paradigm Care & Enrichment Center, dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children could flourish. Paradigm's mission is to empower each child to reach their full potential through a carefully designed curriculum that encompasses academic, social, emotional, and physical growth. The center's philosophy is grounded in the belief that every child is unique and possesses an innate desire to learn and explore.

Comprehensive Programs for Every Stage

Paradigm offers a range of programs tailored to meet the developmental needs of children from infants to preschoolers. The Infant to Toddler Bridger Program provides a supportive and engaging environment for babies and toddlers to explore their senses, develop language skills, and build a foundation for early learning. The Preschool Program focuses on fostering cognitive, social, and emotional development through hands-on activities, age-appropriate play, and exploration. For older preschoolers, Paradigm's School Agers & Drop-In Care program offers a fun and stimulating environment where children can engage in educational and recreational activities, developing important social and life skills.
