Our History

Founded on a rich tradition of academic excellence, the University of Rio Grande & Rio Grande Community College has been serving the educational needs of Southeastern Ohio for over a century. With a strong commitment to innovation, diversity, and community engagement, we have established ourselves as a leader in higher education.

Our Services

We offer a comprehensive range of academic programs, including associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees, as well as professional and technical certificates. Our academic calendar is designed to accommodate students with different learning styles and pace, including online and hybrid courses. We also provide a range of support services, including academic advising, career counseling, mental wellbeing, and religious accommodations.

Campus Life

Our campus is a vibrant and inclusive community that offers a range of opportunities for students to get involved, including over 60 clubs and organizations, Greek life, commuter council, and co-curricular organizations. We also provide a range of facilities and services, including campus safety, chaplaincy program, dining services, health services, and housing.

Regional Campuses

We understand that not all students can attend our main campus. That's why we have four regional academic centers in Jackson, McArthur, Piketon, and Pomeroy. These centers offer a range of academic programs, advising, and support services, making it easier for students to access higher education.
