R & C Fence

R&C Fence, Inc. has been providing custom-built fence installation services for both commercial and residential applications since 1970. Our company was founded by brothers Don and Dave Roop, along with their friend Curt Collins. Initially, they operated as subcontractors, but soon transitioned to full-time work in the business. Over the years, we have grown and expanded our services to become one of the leading fencing companies in Indiana, with operations also extending into Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky.

Our Humble Beginnings

In the early days, we operated out of a garage and focused on small residential work. However, as the business grew, we needed more space and expanded to a larger property on Avondale Drive in Fort Wayne. By the late 1970s and into the 1980s, our sales increased significantly, and we decided to add a retail store to sell picnic tables, patio furniture, and billiards. This expansion continued until we finally outgrew our Avondale location and moved to a new property on Engle Road in 1990.

Evolution and Expansion

Over the years, we have continued to evolve and expand our services. We phased out the retail business in the past decade to focus more on commercial fence installations and specialty work. This shift has allowed us to foster relationships with general contractors throughout the region, leading to our current operations in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky. We have even completed projects as far as South Dakota. Today, we are transitioning to a new generation of ownership, with Don's children, Don Jr. and Robin, taking over as officers. This new management team is committed to growing and expanding our operations while maintaining our commitment to customer service and integrity.

We are proud of our community involvement through sponsorships of baseball leagues and schools, demonstrating our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve.
