Our History

Ray Therrien's journey in the tax preparation industry began over 35 years ago. After successfully completing the H&R Block Income Tax Course, he embarked on a six-year career with the company. Driven by a passion for helping others and a desire to build his own enterprise, Ray established Ray Therrien's Income Tax Service over 26 years ago.

Ray's dedication to his clients led him to travel to their homes throughout Rhode Island, armed with his laptop and portable printer, ensuring convenient and personalized service. As the business grew, Ray established a home office, offering a welcoming and comfortable environment for his clients. The business continued to flourish, eventually leading to the opening of a dedicated office space on Central Avenue in Pawtucket, RI.

After a decade on Central Avenue, Ray made the move to his current location at 591 Beverage Hill Avenue, further solidifying his commitment to providing a comfortable and professional setting for his clients.

In recent years, Ray's expertise has been joined by his grandson, Austin, and Austin's fiance, Sade, who have brought fresh perspectives and a new generation of talent to the team. With dedicated tax preparers and Ray's wife, Joyce, expertly managing schedules, Ray Therrien's Income Tax Service is poised to continue its legacy of exceptional service for years to come.
