Our History

Merrill Landwehr, the senior member of the firm, began his legal career after graduating from Loyola University Law School. He worked for the United States Justice Department and then served two years of active duty in the Judge Advocate General's Corp of the United States Army. After his military service, he became a partner at Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrere and Denegre before starting his own private law practice in 1970. Additionally, he taught Bankruptcy Law at Tulane University School of Law from 1977 to 1981.

Our Expertise

Darryl T. Landwehr, a partner of the firm, graduated from the University of New Orleans in Business Administration in 1983 and from Loyola Law School in 1986. He has practiced extensively in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern District of Louisiana, Western District of Louisiana, and Middle District of Louisiana, representing creditors, debtors, and trustees, including banks in collection and foreclosure matters.
