Mt. Zion Preschool, a ministry of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, offers a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children ages 2 to 5. Guided by Christian values, we empower young minds to explore, discover, and grow.

Our vision is to foster a love for learning, building self-confidence, and nurturing each child's unique potential. We believe in creating a safe and supportive space where children can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is based on Maryland State Department of Education guidelines and focuses on developing well-rounded young learners. We emphasize:

• Independence: Encouraging children to solve problems, make choices, and take responsibility for themselves.
• Socialization: Fostering communication, cooperation, and empathy through group activities and social learning.
• Responsibility: Teaching children daily living skills like self-care, sharing, and teamwork.

Our Programs

We offer flexible schedules and options to meet your needs:

Two-Year-Olds

• Morning or afternoon classes - 9:10am - 11:40am

Three-Year-Olds

• Morning class - 9:15am - 11:45am
• Afternoon class - 12:30pm - 3:00pm

Four-Year-Olds

• Morning or afternoon classes - 9:20am - 12:30pm or 9:20am - 2:00pm

Full-Day Option

• Monday through Thursday - 9:20am - 2:00pm

Half-Day Option

• Monday through Thursday - 9:20am - 12:30pm
