Our History and Philosophy

Fitness Plus was founded in 1993 by Sheila Kalas, who had a vision of providing easy access to the best in professional personal wellness services. Our goal is to provide highly educated wellness professionals with the best environment possible to develop their careers and help our clients achieve a happier and healthier lifestyle. We believe in the intrinsic value of being a part of our community and have developed positive and progressive relationships with area doctors, schools, rehab professionals, and educators.

  • Personal Training: Working with a Fitness Plus trainer is more than a workout; it's a relationship with your personal health professional. Our trainers will work with you to create a customized fitness program tailored to your specific needs and goals.
  • Strong Over 50 Program: Our Strong Over 50 suspension training program is designed for safety and proper form, using specialized, patent-pending equipment. We are the only SO-50 certified facility in Kentucky.
  • Therapeutic Massage: Our licensed, experienced massage therapists provide therapeutic massage to help you relax and recover.
  • Injury Rehab: Our trainers are experienced in soft-tissue injuries and can help you prevent further damage and promote healing.
