At Vision Restoration and Contracting, LLC, we are dedicated to providing top-quality construction and historic renovation services throughout Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley area. Founded in 2004, our company has established itself as a reputable general contracting firm, with our business office and shop facility located in Winchester, Virginia.

We are a Class A General Contractor, a SWaM certified small business, and maintain licenses to actively pursue projects with government, state, and county agencies. Our team has the equipment and qualified personnel to perform work in various construction disciplines including excavation and grading, concrete construction, steel and wood frame construction, structural repairs, custom millwork, metal fabrication, masonry, and electrical work.

Our company is led by our owner, Mike Runion, who brings over 45 years of industry experience and insight to the company. He actively engages in all phases of each project, providing extensive knowledge and experience in renovation and restoration of existing structures, as well as up-to-date knowledge of changing techniques and materials used in the trade.

Historic Restoration Projects

We have been involved in numerous historic restoration projects throughout the Winchester area and beyond. Some of our notable projects include:

• Old Bethel Methodist Church: We repaired and partially replaced the foundation for the 1940's addition to the sanctuary, renovated existing restrooms to achieve ADA compliance, and repaired termite damage to the floor of the sanctuary.

• Oakland Grove Church, Circa 1835: Our team completed an exterior restoration including windows, doors, trim, slate roof; brick repointing, and foundation stabilization. We also installed gravel paths throughout the cemetery to allow for handicap access to the church.

• Covington Freight Depot, Circa 1890: We stabilized and dismantled the structure to a point where renovation could begin, then restored the exterior to match the original appearance and updated the interior for use as a meeting facility for the Town of Covington.

• First Baptist Church, Circa 1900: We repaired and replaced the cornice and parapet on the west wing of the church, replaced the copper roof on the cornice, and repointed the brick above the cornice.

• Handley Regional Library: Our team completed structural steel replacement and concrete repair in the basement.
