Our History

The Hubbard Insurance Agency traces its roots back to 1928, when Charles W. Hubbard, Jr. established the agency in Kilmarnock, Virginia. Nestled in the heart of the historic Northern Neck, the agency initially served the counties of Lancaster, Northumberland, Mathews, Middlesex, and Gloucester, as well as other areas of Virginia. Guided by a commitment to serving and protecting the community, Charles built a foundation of trust and reliability that continues to this day.

Following Charles's passing, his son, Benjamin N. Hubbard, assumed the reins, carrying on the legacy of exceptional service. Later, the agency passed to C.I. Clark III, who, along with his son, Mark M. Clark, ushered in a new era of growth and innovation while remaining grounded in the agency's core values. Today, Mark Clark, alongside Shannon Herring and Ian York, continues to lead the Hubbard Insurance Agency, ensuring that the cherished traditions and personalized approach established by its founder endure.
