Bellingham Childcare & Learning Center

Welcome to Bellingham Childcare & Learning Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable childcare to families of all income levels. We believe that all children deserve quality early learning and that relationships with caring parents and caregivers are key. Our well-qualified and nurturing staff offers a developmentally appropriate and safe learning environment for young children ages one month to 5 years.

Located near the hospital in Bellingham, Washington, our center is licensed and accredited, ensuring that we surpass state required child/staff ratios and education requirements. Our staff undergoes continuous training to develop their childcare skills and knowledge. We are passionate about meeting children where they are and growing with them through hands-on learning, outdoor play, small groups, and guided adult support.

Our Services

We offer a range of services designed to support families and children. For families, we provide direct involvement in their child's education, tuition assistance based on income and family size, and access to community agencies. We also offer parent education through newsletters, handouts, a resource library, and family nights. For children, our services include individualized learning experiences, loving and safe environments, outdoor exploration, hands-on learning, rich social experiences, and developmental and health screenings. We also offer nutritious meals and an atmosphere that celebrates diversity. Additionally, we provide services to meet the special needs of children with disabilities.

Community Partnerships

We partner with local educational institutions such as Western Washington University, Whatcom Community College, and Bellingham Technical College to support future Early Learning Educators. We are a United Way of Whatcom County Recipient and a proud supporter of the community. Our center uses a great interactive communication app with families called Brightwheel, ensuring seamless communication and engagement.
