Our Story

Focal Point Opticians has been celebrating its 47th year in business, and we are proud to have served the Brookline and Newton areas for so long. Our story began in 1974 when Joanna Azzoto established our first location in Newton. Over the years, the business has continued to grow at a steady rate, with the aid of the Azzoto family. Today, we are a leader in the optical industry, known for our exceptional quality, style, and service.

Our Legacy

We pride ourselves on our family tradition, which spans multiple generations. Joanna Azzoto founded the company in 1974, and her son, Neal Azzoto, joined her in 1977. In 1988, their son Jeffrey Azzoto joined the family business, followed by brother Christopher Azzoto in 1989. In 1990, the company doubled in size, and by 1992, we had established a second location in Brookline. Our daughter, Audrey Azzoto, joined the business in 1994.
