Our Firm's History

The practice was initially operated as McMurtray & Armistad from 2005 until 2009. Following the retirement of Patrick McMurtray in 2009, the firm continued under the leadership of Nathaniel Armistad, who became the sole proprietor of the Armistad Law Firm. This transition marked a significant milestone in the firm's history, as it enabled us to further specialize in school law and expand our services to cater to the needs of various school districts across Mississippi.

Meet Our Team

Nathaniel Armistad, the owner of the Armistad Law Firm, is a native of Columbus, Mississippi. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College Law School. With extensive experience in law, including work as an Assistant District Attorney and as a practicing attorney, Nathaniel brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our clients.
