Welcome to The Family Dental Center, where we have been proudly serving our patients' dental health needs for over 60 years. We have a helpful and dedicated staff, a comfortable reception area, and spacious modern exam rooms to suit your needs.

Our business hours are designed to accommodate your schedule. We are open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Monday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, and 7:30 am to 4:00 pm on Thursday. We are closed on Wednesday and Friday. However, we understand that dental emergencies can happen at any time, which is why we offer on-call providers and same-day appointments, when possible.

Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art dental equipment, ensuring that you receive the best care possible. We take pride in being available when others aren't, minimizing wait times and catering to our patients' needs.

We also offer specialized care for patients with special needs, ensuring that they receive the care they deserve.

Meet the Team

At The Family Dental Center, we have a team of experienced and dedicated dental care professionals who are committed to providing you with the best care possible.

Dr. Stacey Johanson, DDS

Dr. Stacey Johanson grew up in Wahpeton, North Dakota. She attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in Minneapolis where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Johanson has been practicing at The Family Dental Center since then.

Dr. Johanson shares the common Family Dental Center philosophy of "We cater to cowards." She realizes that the dental environment can be a very scary place and strives to make each and every dental experience pleasant. She takes her time to get to know patients and understand their specific dental wants and needs. She believes in helping her patients get the treatment they desire, using understandable wording to explain treatment needs.

Dr. Olivia Paulsrud, DDS

Dr. Olivia Paulsrud joined the Family Dental Center in 2021. She is happy to be back serving the tri-state area where she grew up, only a short distance from here in Decorah, IA. Olivia's upbringing with the local tri-state area allows her to be a very knowledgeable, passionate, and highly-skilled dentist for the people and communities that we serve.

She attended Luther College in Decorah, IA where she ran track and graduated with a Biology degree in 2016. While she was there, she created the first-ever Pre-Dental Club where she raised awareness for dental education for students exploring a career in dentistry by creating community mentorship opportunities with practicing dental professionals and providing other students with insights to the requirements of dental school and the dental industry.

From Luther College, she went on to attend The University of Iowa College of Dentistry where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2021.
