Our History

Gordon Memorial Home was founded by Robert Gordon in 1952. Robert's journey into the mortuary business began when he wrote a paper on his future plans in high school. After his mother's passing, he was impressed by the compassion and help provided by the funeral director, and he decided to pursue a career in the industry. After completing his apprenticeship and passing the State Boards, he became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in 1947. Robert's commitment to excellence and compassion has been carried on by Craig Flury, who took over the ownership of the home in 1989.
