Tutmarc Architects

At Tutmarc Architects, we have been in the business of creating and enhancing spaces for over three decades. Founded in 1982 by Michael Tutmarc, our firm has a long history of delivering high-quality, custom design solutions to our clients. With a focus on residential and light commercial projects, we have worked with countless homeowners and businesses to bring their visions to life.

Our team is led by Michael Tutmarc, a licensed architect who studied at the University of Washington. Michael has been designing his own residential projects since he graduated from college and has built a reputation for his creative and responsible approach to architecture. Over the years, he has worked on a wide variety of projects, from residential remodels and new constructions to light commercial designs. One of the highlights of Michael's career was working on a project for The Oprah Winfrey Show, where he served as principal architect alongside interior designer Nate Berkus and landscape designer Jamie Drurie.

In addition to Michael, our team also includes Greg Andrews, a licensed architect who has been with Tutmarc Architects since 1992. Greg obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his Master of Architecture from the University of Washington. He has been involved in a large variety of projects and brings great experience and imagination to the design process. When he's not working, Greg enjoys travel and great cuisine.

Andrea Tutmarc serves as our project coordinator. She specializes in project management, product selection, interiors, and computer-aided design. Andrea also handles all legal and business compliance matters. With an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, a law degree from the University of San Diego, and language certificates from the University of Nantes and the University of Caen in France, Andrea is a licensed attorney in Washington and California. She loves books, movies, travel, food, and great design.

Our Mission

At Tutmarc Architects, our mission is to offer great creative design solutions and responsible methodology. We can handle the entire project, starting even before land acquisition and continuing all the way to final completion. We put the client first, and you can count on Tutmarc being more than willing to take responsibility for the success of the entire project.

Areas of Practice

We specialize in a variety of areas, including new construction, remodels and additions, homes and vacation homes, and light commercial projects. We also offer tenant improvements, home theaters, offices, churches, land analysis studies, project feasibility studies, property acquisition, project finances, and property purchase analysis. Additionally, we provide expert legal consulting services to ensure that all of our projects comply with relevant laws and regulations.

We are licensed architects in the state of Washington, with license number #6776. We are also licensed general contractors, with license number #TUTMAAI072M9, and licensed real estate brokers, with license number #39952.
