Established in 2005, Buckeye Civil Design provides professional engineering services for site-civil projects throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. We design projects with you in mind, and provide professional, cost-effective solutions all in a timely manner. Our extensive experience includes the design of sketch plans, feasibility studies, preliminary plans, preliminary plats, zone change requests, residential subdivisions, condominium developments, commercial lots/developments, waterline extensions, sanitary sewer extensions, sanitary sewer pump stations, residential septic systems, residential/commercial septic mound systems, storm water pollution prevention plans, storm sewer design, storm water detention ponds, underground storm water detention systems, and industrial storm water pollution prevention plans.

Our Team

The owners of Buckeye Civil Design have over 50 years of combined experience in the design and construction of a wide variety of improvement projects. Our team includes Joseph M. Gonda, P.E., who is the lead project manager responsible for manpower scheduling, budgeting, project objectives, scheduling, and scope. He has numerous years of experience in the design and permitting process of construction projects and is very familiar with the regulatory process. Another key member is John P. Lapinski, P.E., who provides planning and design services for projects including storm and sanitary sewer design, waterline design, storm water management design, and pump station design. He is also a licensed CPESC and has an excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Harry C. Bircher, P.E., is a well-rounded designer and project manager specializing in hydrology and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan designs. He has taught at Youngstown State University and the University of Akron, covering various environmental and geological subjects.
