What Is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. Chiropractors use spinal manipulation and other alternative treatments. The main goal of chiropractic care is to restore function, alleviate pain, and support the natural healing ability of the body, primarily by manipulative treatment of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine.

How Does It Work?

Chiropractic care works by restoring your body's natural balance and alignment. This balance is disrupted when there is a misalignment in your spine, which can cause pressure on your muscles and joints, leading to pain and discomfort. By adjusting and manipulating your spine, chiropractors can help relieve this pressure, promoting healing and pain relief.

Subluxation

Subluxation is a condition where a vertebra in your spine becomes misaligned or moves out of its normal position. This misalignment can put pressure on your muscles and joints, causing pain and discomfort. Chiropractors use various techniques to adjust and manipulate your spine, helping to restore its natural balance and alignment, thereby relieving pressure and promoting healing.

Spinal Degeneration Phases

Spinal degeneration is a condition where your spine undergoes wear and tear over time, leading to pain and discomfort. There are several phases of spinal degeneration, ranging from phase one, which is the least severe, to phase four, which is the most severe. Chiropractic care can help manage and alleviate the symptoms associated with spinal degeneration by restoring balance and alignment to your spine.
