Our History

Founded in 1937 as the Schultz Agency, our agency was built on a strong foundation of trust, integrity, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Our journey began with Louis C. Schultz, a retired Chebanse Postmaster, who purchased the old Bank of Chebanse building and opened a currency exchange. As residents asked him to write insurance policies, he became licensed and contracted with The Hartford. Our legacy continued with Louis M. Schultz, his son, who ran the agency until 1970, when he sold it to Howard Meyer, his nephew, who added Crop Insurance to our property casualty lines. We have continued to evolve and grow, with the addition of new agents and services, while remaining committed to our core values.
