Where the sun and kids shine!

Micah is a Jewish summer camp located in the picturesque town of Bridgton, Maine. Nestled on the shore of Peabody Pond, our camp offers a wide array of activities and a caring, fun-filled environment for all. With our motto, "we have something for everyone, " we truly mean it. At Camp Micah, children can be themselves, try new things, and build lifelong friendships.

Why Micah?

At Micah, we pride ourselves on creating a warm and inclusive community. Our campers come from all over the world, representing the diversity of the Jewish people. We believe that every child has something unique to contribute, and we strive to bring out the best in each and every one of them.

Our program is built on the principles of Jewish values, community, and social responsibility. We offer a variety of activities that promote physical, emotional, and social growth. From athletics and aquatics to creative and performing arts, there's something for everyone at Micah.

Our Program

Our program is divided into six age groups, from grades 2-4 (Prowlers), grades 5 & 6 (Timbers), grades 7 & 8 (Summits), grades 9 & 10 (Micah in Israel), grade 11 (CIT Program), and grade 12 (Activities). Each group has its own unique program, designed to meet the developmental needs of the campers.

Our youngest campers, the Prowlers, engage in a variety of activities that promote socialization, exploration, and play. Our Timbers and Summits participate in more advanced activities, including team sports, outdoor adventures, and special events. Our oldest campers, the Micah in Israel group, embark on a journey of a lifetime to the Holy Land, where they connect with their Jewish heritage and explore the wonders of the land.

In addition to our regular program, we offer a variety of special programs, including athletics, aquatics, creative and performing arts, hiking and wilderness, and special events. Our campers have the opportunity to participate in these programs based on their interests and abilities.

Jewish Culture

At Micah, Jewish culture is at the heart of everything we do. We celebrate Shabbat every week, with services, candle lighting, and a special dinner. We also offer daily Jewish learning, where campers can explore their Jewish identity and connection to Israel.

Our campers come from a variety of Jewish backgrounds, and we strive to create an inclusive and welcoming community for all. We believe that Jewish values, such as kindness, compassion, and social responsibility, are universal values that can be shared and appreciated by all.

Leadership Team

Our leadership team is made up of experienced and dedicated professionals who are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable camp experience for all. Our team includes a camp director, assistant directors, program directors, and specialists in various areas.

Our staff is carefully selected, trained, and supervised to ensure that they are equipped to provide the best possible care and guidance for our campers. We have a low staff-to-camper ratio, which allows us to provide individualized attention and support to each child.

Our Amazing Staff

Our staff is what makes Micah truly special. We hire staff members who are passionate about working with children, and who are committed to creating a warm and inclusive community. Our staff comes from all over the world, representing the diversity of the Jewish people.

Our staff members are trained in child development, safety procedures, and best practices in youth work. They are also trained in our Jewish values, which are at the heart of everything we do.
