Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to cater to the diverse needs of our patients. Our comprehensive vision examinations are designed to provide a precise prescription for eyewear, and our contact lens evaluations ensure a perfect fit for our patients. We also offer medical care management, optical shoppe services, and insurance financing options to make our services accessible to everyone.

Our comprehensive vision examinations are visual health examinations that include a refraction test, which checks to see whether you need glasses. Certain screening tests may be done for ocular diseases, but the primary purpose of a vision benefit examination is to measure your vision. These examinations will take place when there are no medical problems or symptoms. A precise prescription for eyewear will be calculated, and the patient is then able to update their glasses or sunglasses.

Our contact lens evaluations are secondary evaluations that most often coincide with the patient's initial refractive exam. The doctor will evaluate the fitting of the contact lens on the cornea, the visual acuity the contact lens is providing, and the health of the cornea to make sure the contact lenses are a healthy choice for that specific person. Once all aspects have been evaluated, the doctor will finalize the patient's contact lens prescription, which is valid for 12 months from that service date.

Meet Our Doctors

Our team of experienced doctors and staff are dedicated to providing personalized service to our patients. Dr. Robert Christ is a Chicago native who has been a practicing proprietor of Family Eye Care for over 20 years. He specializes in medical optometry and works in partnership with affiliated surgeons to provide pre and post-surgical care for cataracts, Lasik, and other surgical procedures.

Dr. Nancy Alexander Christ is a practicing proprietor of Family Eye Care who specializes in pediatric care. She provides both refractive and Vision Therapy solutions, and her background in pediatric care has enabled her to develop a unique approach to treating patients of all ages.
