Meet Dr. Kevin Truong

Dr. Kevin Truong is the face and guiding vision behind Riverton Dental Care. Dr. Truong has been in private practice in Virginia since 2003. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and then continued on to complete his dental education at the VCU School of Dentistry. During his free time, Dr. Truong enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his wife and 3 young children. Dr. Truong is dedicated to providing the best possible care for his patients and is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advances in dentistry.

Our Services and Procedures

We offer a comprehensive range of dental procedures, aligned with the needs of the patient, ensuring that our patients receive the optimal dental care. Our services include:

• Cleanings and Prevention: In addition to diagnosing and treating conditions associated with the teeth and gums, we strive to enhance the overall dental health of our patients by providing preventative care and maintenance. In conjunction with dental exams and cleanings during regular visits, deep cleanings are provided as a proactive treatment option for patients with chronic gum disease.
• Cosmetic Dentistry and Fillings: We offer composite fillings that match the shade and color of natural teeth. These fillings function, feel and are aesthetically more suitable than traditional metal fillings. Additionally, unlike the metal (amalgam) fillings of the past, these fillings do not pose the potential side effects associated with the mercury present in metal fillings.
• Root Canal Treatment: Root canal treatments are provided to treat and save damaged, infected teeth by removing the infection within. The restored teeth have the potential to remain healthy for a long period of time after successful treatment.
• Dental Implants: Many options exist to replace missing teeth but dental implants provide the feel, function and appearance of natural teeth. We provide this specialized treatment, including bone grafting procedures if necessary, to ensure the most suitable care.
• Crown and Bridge: A crown may be necessary to resolve discomfort caused by a fracture or loss of the tooth. It serves as a replacement for a tooth, and is placed over an existing tooth or a dental implant. A crown is generally delivered as the final phase of root canal treatment. Bridges are generally used to replace one or more missing teeth.
• Tooth Extractions: The extraction of a tooth may be necessary for many reasons, such as a severely decayed, infected or damaged tooth. Removal of teeth may also be necessary prior to beginning certain orthodontic procedures. We work with you to ensure that this potentially stressful experience is completed with your comfort in mind.
• Partial and Complete Dentures: Dentures are removable, artificial teeth that enhance, and provide a natural smile. Dentures restore the ability to eat, and speak and mitigate the effects of the loss of teeth. We provide various types of denture related care, including complete dentures, partial dentures, and overdentures.
