Drake Construction, Inc. is a general contracting firm with a wide range of capabilities, including civil, underground utility, commercial building, pile foundations, demolition, aggregate mining operations, and barging. We have extensive experience in construction, marine, and aggregate projects, and have worked on numerous camp rentals and other projects throughout Western Alaska.

Our History

In 1968, Wayne Drake founded Wayne Drake General Contractor (WDGC) in North Bend, OR. The company started as a general contracting firm specializing in custom home building and concrete work. Over the years, WDGC expanded into commercial building and site preparation, as well as subdivision development. In 1982, Wayne brought WDGC to Alaska and based the operation in Kotzebue, AK. The company continued to grow and expand its services, eventually restructuring in 2001 into two corporate companies: Drake Construction, Inc. and Drake Investments, LLC. Today, Drake Construction is a second-generation family company committed to providing quality construction services while keeping up with the latest technology and innovations in the industry.
