Our Story

Michelle Stiver, the founder of Salon Aficionado, has been a hairdresser for over three decades. She grew up struggling with frizz and eventually turned to chemical smoothing and daily heat styling, which left her hair dry and damaged. However, she decided to embrace her natural texture and fell in love with curly hair. Since then, she has dedicated herself to helping others do the same. Michelle is certified in various curly hair techniques, including Curl By Curl, Technically Intuitive Curly Hair Artistry, DevaCurl, Ouidad, Rezo, and Mona Baltazar.

Our Services

At Salon Aficionado, we offer a range of services designed to cater to different needs and preferences. Our services include:

1. Customized Curly Experience: This is a one-on-one appointment for first-time guests where we celebrate your curls. We conduct a detailed analysis of your hair, map out a plan specific to your needs, and perform a customized curly haircut that includes a tutorial. We also document your journey with pictures, so we can see how your curls evolve! ($400+)

2. Customized Curly Cut: This appointment is for returning guests and includes a customized curly haircut and finished style. This is the time to ask questions and learn how to perfect your curl process! ($225+)

3. Maintenance Curly Cut: This appointment is for returning guests and includes a dry trim only. This client already has a mapped out plan with curl goals intact. There is no wet to dry styling done in this appointment. ($155+)
