Our History
Tonkin Plumbing's roots were originally from New Zealand, where our founders, Phillip Tonkin and Terry Swney, finished their five-year apprenticeships under the same mentor and company. In 1987, Phillip Tonkin branched out and opened Tonkin Plumbing solo with only 1 plumbing truck, 1 plumber, and Tonkin Plumbing was formed. In 1992, Terry moved to California, and a partnership was formed, creating Tonkin Plumbing Incorporated. Today, under the leadership of Terry, we continue to exceed our customers' plumbing expectations!
