Kinderhouse Preschool has been serving families in Sarasota for over 20 years, providing a nurturing environment that fosters growth, learning, and development for children from 12 months to 5 years old. Our Philosophy

At Kinderhouse, we believe that children learn through play. Our talented and experienced teachers use positive guidance techniques to enhance each child's self-worth and encourage exploration and discovery. We provide a well-rounded curriculum that incorporates sensory experiences, creative activities, and interactive learning opportunities to stimulate cognitive, creative, emotional, and social development.

Our Programs

We offer a range of programs to cater to the diverse needs of our children and families. From our toddler classes for 12-month-olds to our VPK classes for 4 and 5-year-olds, we provide a structured curriculum that is designed to meet the unique needs of each age group.

Toddler Program (12months-30months)

Our toddler program is designed to help transition your "baby" into a busy toddler. Our curriculum offers a wide variety of sensory experiences to help children learn best, and our staff is dedicated to creating a safe, happy environment where children can thrive.

Older Twos Class (30-36months)

Our older twos class is designed to encourage following direction, structured play, and concepts such as shapes, weather, counting, and imaginative play. We also begin potty training in this class, using a consistent routine to help your child master this important life skill.

Three-Year-Old Class (36-48months)

This is typically a year of noticeable growth and independence, and we challenge our children to test their new powers and limits. Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of our 3-year-olds, focusing on social interaction, following directions, and increasing attention span and focus.

VPK Classrooms (48-60months)

Our two VPK classrooms are designed to meet the needs of 4 and 5-year-olds, with a structured curriculum that prepares students for the VPK Transition Checklist. Our VPK classrooms are busy environments that incorporate Physical Development, Social Emotional Development, Language and Literacy, Social Studies, Creative Expression, Mathematical thinking, Scientific inquiry, and Approaches to Learning.

Our Staff

Our staff is carefully chosen to become part of a team of nurturing teachers who are dedicated to helping children play, grow, and learn. Our toddler teachers nurture and encourage your "baby" to transition into a busy, happy toddler, while our preschool teachers guide your child through childhood development, incorporating character building and helping your child to manage their feelings.
