Rock Cut Brewing

Rock Cut Brewing Company is a family-friendly brewery and taproom nestled at the base of Prospect Mountain in downtown Estes Park, Colorado. We offer an easy walk from main street or the perfect stop on your way out of the national park.

Our brewery and taproom are a result of a passionate journey that started with a homebrewing set-up in a garage. Our founders, Tracy Goodemote and Matthew Heiser, college friends who shared a love for brewing, have evolved their passion into one of Northern Colorado's favorite craft breweries.

At Rock Cut, we focus on high-quality ingredients, authentic techniques, and recipes, as well as innovative styles. Our twelve taps pour beers to fit all palates. Our expansive views of Lumpy Ridge and the Continental Divide make our patio the perfect spot to enjoy a beer while listening to the Big Thompson River meander by. If the weather isn't cooperative, our bright and comfortable taproom is perfect for a game or good conversation.

We are proud members of the Brewers Association and the Colorado Brewers Guild. We believe in supporting local, independently owned breweries and we thank you for your support of our craft beer scene.

Our Services

At Rock Cut Brewing Company, we offer a variety of services that cater to all our guests. We have a food truck on site that serves delicious lunches and dinners. Outside food is always welcomed, so you can enjoy your favorite meal with our exceptional beers.

We also offer a calendar of taproom events, including live music, beer releases, and themed parties. Our taproom is family-friendly, and we have games and toys available for kids to enjoy while their parents relax and unwind.

Meet our team below!

• Matt Heiser, Founding Owner & Head Brewer

Matt grew up with a love of the outdoors and the mountains. He moved to Estes Park 20 years ago and has made it his home. His favorite thing about the area is the outdoors and the small-town feel of Estes Park. When he's not at Rock Cut, Matt treasures time away with his wife, hiking or fishing in Rocky Mountain National Park, and getting out to see what the rest of the Colorado Craft scene has to offer. His favorite Rock Cut beer is the Tyndall Porter, but he also enjoys the cellar program and one-off beers that come from barrels.

• Kate Stephens, Brewer & Beertender

Kate moved to Estes Park after getting her undergrad degree. She lived in her family's home in the mountains for a year before moving away. Her wanderlust ways kicked in again, and she moved to Estes Park to join the Rock Cut team. She loves the mountains and the outdoors, and she's excited to be back in the Rockies. When she's not at Rock Cut, Kate enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and exploring the outdoors. Her favorite Rock Cut beer is the Palisade Pilsner.

About Our Founders

Tracy Goodemote and Matthew Heiser, college friends who spent the last 11 years brewing together, founded Rock Cut Brewing Company in 2015. Their passion evolved into one of Northern Colorado's favorite craft breweries.
