Dedicated to Compassionate Service
At The Labs Funeral Home, we are dedicated to compassionate service. For over a century, we have been serving the community with professionalism and care. Our history dates back to the early 1900s, when the Victorian era was in full bloom. The building, with its unique features such as a smoke house, dumb waiter, and wooden rain barrel, was originally a home. Over the years, it evolved into a funeral home, with Archie Maclean establishing the Maclean Funeral Home in 1951. The home served as a private residence for the Ranck family, who took care of the property for the Macleans.
Our Growth and Expansion
In 1969, the Maclean brothers retired, and the funeral home was sold to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Labs. The Labs family expanded the funeral home with a second addition, which included an enlarged chapel and new main facilities. Today, we continue to serve the community with the same commitment to compassionate service that has been our hallmark since the beginning.
