Welcome to Barn Owl Nursery, where we've been growing and selling a variety of Oregon-grown herbs for over 43 years. Our journey began in 1982 with a small, home-based retail nursery, and over the years, we've specialized in lavender plants, now offering nearly 100 different cultivars. Our passion is to provide you with the best selection of locally grown herbs, including lavender, for your gardens and homes. We're proud to be members of the Lavender Northwest United States Lavender Growers Association and the Herb Society of America.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services, including a nice selection of nearly 100 different Oregon grown lavender and culinary herb plants. Chris can provide general information about selecting, planting, and caring for your herbs. We also sell our own dried lavender flower bundles and buds, culinary lavender, lavender tea blends, lavender essential oils, and much more. In our country gift shop, you'll find locally made lavender products from Oregon and Washington lavender farms and Northwest companies. Our lavender bloom season lasts around 6 weeks, from the middle of June through the end of July, during which you can see different varieties of lavenders and lavandins blooming in our small field and garden. We sell fresh cut lavender bundles while we are harvesting our crop.

Special Events

We host special events throughout the year, including our Lavender Days event, which started in 1996. These events offer a unique opportunity to visit our nursery and experience the beauty of our lavender fields. We also offer private classes and workshops on topics such as culinary lavender, growing lavender in the Pacific Northwest, and using your own culinary herbs. These classes are tailored to meet your interests and needs.
