The Children's Center

The Children's Center is an early childhood education center located in the heart of Missoula, Montana. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of the whole child - mind, body, and spirit. Our goal is to expand upon each child's abilities and encourage a lifelong foundation for success in all aspects of life. We believe that every child is unique and deserves a personalized approach to early education.

Our Programs

At The Children's Center, we offer a range of programs designed to meet the individual needs of each child. Our Early Preschool Program is designed for 2 and young 3-year-olds, while our Preschool program is tailored for 3 1/2 to 5-year-olds. Both programs offer a wide choice of activities that are both creative and educational. We believe that a balance of quiet and active periods is essential for a well-rounded experience.

Our curriculum is designed to teach children through developmentally appropriate practices using the Montana Early Learning Standards and the latest research in early childhood development. We believe that children learn best through a play-based, hands-on exploration process that encourages cognitive development, problem-solving, perceptual literacy, and content and process skills. We also place a strong emphasis on social-emotional development, helping children to develop self-efficacy, pro-social skills, creativity, and imagination.

Nutrition

At The Children's Center, we understand the importance of quality nutrition in a child's development. That's why we provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack daily, included in tuition. We believe that healthy eating habits established in early childhood can lead to a lifetime of good health.

Teaching Staff

Our teaching staff is dedicated to getting children ready for Kindergarten and supporting families in enriching a solid foundation for lifelong learning. Our teachers are experienced, compassionate, and committed to creating a positive learning environment for all children. They use positive guidance techniques to encourage growth and development, observing and assessing each child's progress to modify the environment and curriculum to meet their needs.

Enrollment

Enrollment at The Children's Center is open year-round, and we offer flexible schedules to accommodate the needs of our families. We invite you to schedule a tour of our center to learn more about our programs and meet our teaching staff. We also have a Parent Handbook available that provides detailed information about our policies and procedures.
