At The Hair Salon, our goal is to exceed your expectations in hair and skin care services. We strive to achieve this by continuously attending advanced education and seminars, resulting in providing you with the ultimate service and environment. We are dedicated to helping the growth of our communities by serving on the RDA Board, helping with local food pantries, and supporting PADA.

Meet Our Team

Gwen M. Puerner-King

Gwen has been in the beauty industry for over 30 years and has owned The Hair Salon in Lake Mills for the past 20 years. She enjoys the creativity of her career and is passionate about adding a palette of color to her clients' tresses. Gwen is also committed to reducing waste and recycling in the salon. She is an active member of the RDA Board, helping to promote community growth. In her free time, Gwen enjoys photography, nature watching, and spending time with her husband at "The Land."

Katie Schwebs

Katie has been with The Hair Salon for over 10 years and is an instructor for the industry. She has a passion for special event hair styles and enjoys working with clients on personalized classes to suit their beauty needs. Katie lives in the Newville area with her husband and two children. She enjoys rock climbing and her new career as a "mommy."

Hair Styling: Our stylists are skilled in a variety of hair styling techniques, from classic cuts to the latest trends. We will work with you to create a style that suits your personal taste and lifestyle.

Hair Color: We offer a wide range of hair color services, from highlights and lowlights to full color changes. Our stylists are trained in the latest color techniques and use high-quality products to give you long-lasting, vibrant color.

Skin Care: Our skin care services include facials, peels, and waxing. We use eco-friendly products to leave your skin feeling healthy and fabulous.

Nail Services: Our nail services include manicures, pedicures, and gel nails. We use top-of-the-line products to give you beautiful, long-lasting nails.

Brow & Lash Lounge: Our brow and lash lounge offers services such as brow shaping, lash extensions, and lash lifts. We use high-quality products to give you the perfect brows and lashes.

Other Services: We also offer other services such as massage therapy and makeup application.

Our Salon

Our salon is located at 316 Grove Street in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. We are an eco-friendly salon and use eco-friendly products to leave your hair feeling healthy and fabulous, while still being easy on our environment. Our salon has a nail counter, skin care facilities, massage therapy, and a variety of professional products available to give you "The Ultimate in Hair and Skin Care."
