Restaurant Salaam

Restaurant Salaam, located in Athens, Ohio, is a fine world cuisine establishment that offers a unique and delightful dining experience. We welcome guests for dine-in from Wednesday through Saturday, from 5:30 to 9 pm. Our restaurant is a great place to enjoy a wide selection of beers and wines that complement our delicious food. We accept reservations for parties of 7 or more, but we also have many smaller tables for walk-in patrons.

We take great pride in our menu, which features a variety of dishes that showcase flavors from around the world. Our soups are a customer favorite, and our spicy corn and coconut soup is a must-try. We also have a potato gnocchi with beef ragout that is a hearty and satisfying meal. For something lighter, our grilled peach and chicken salad is a refreshing option that is only available during the summer months.

In addition to our regular menu items, we also offer specials that change weekly. Our gnocchi with Gorgonzola and walnuts is a classic dish that is always a hit, and our featured vegetable is sauteed yellow and green zucchini with garlic and fresh basil. We also offer a special dessert that is not to be missed: Moroccan mint and honey cake.

Ordering for contactless pickup is easy and convenient. You can order specials or regular menu items for pickup until 8:30 pm, and can phone in your order as early as 2:00 pm for your choice of pickup time starting at 5:00 pm. We appreciate early orders as it helps us with workflow in the kitchen. You can pay by phone and take advantage of our contactless pickup in the rear of the restaurant.

Covid Precautions

At Restaurant Salaam, we are committed to providing a safe dining experience for our guests. We have installed high-tech air purification systems in both the dining and kitchen areas to help reduce the risk of airborne transmission of Covid-19. We have also removed some tables from our dining room to place more space between tables and have created an "outdoor-ish" dining space that we call the Garden Room, which we use with the garage door open when temperatures allow.

We are also happy to prepare food "to-go" for you and provide contactless pickup. We take the necessary precautions to ensure that your food is prepared and packaged safely. We encourage guests to follow local guidelines and regulations regarding mask-wearing and social distancing.
