Our Services

We offer a wide range of services including free in-home/in-office estimates on new treatments, professional installation on all window treatments, in-home/in-office repairs for a fee, and professional cleaning on all horizontal blinds. Additionally, we have an in-store repair facility that stocks a variety of parts, allowing us to repair most products in three to five working days. Our store inventory of discontinued and hard-to-find parts enables us to also service older products.

History

Established in 1930, Smith's Blind Shop was originally the premier blind repair shop in Nashville. Mr. Smith was the first locally advertised "blind man." The business was located on Natchez Trace close to the Vanderbilt Stadium. Smith's Blind Shop quickly became known all over Nashville as the place to go for blind repairs, blind refurbishing, and blind cleaning. The shop was also known for offering new custom-made venetian blinds and shades at discount prices. In 1986, the business incorporated and changed its name to Smith's Blind and Shade, Inc. Smith's Blind & Shade continues its reputation for knowledgeable service, along with access to hard-to-find parts, and quality custom-made products at reasonable prices.
