History of NECA

NECA was founded in 1929 to serve the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan Electrical Industry. Our organization represents and promotes the interests of the electrical contracting industry and consumers who use these services. We encourage efficient, safe, and economical electrical installations, promoting active competition and sound, ethical business practices.

We foster and conduct training programs to keep our members and their employees on the cutting edge of technology. Our organization comprises Contractor Members and Associate Members, including electrical contractors covering all aspects of the commercial, residential, industrial, and voice-data-video electrical markets. Associate Members include architects, engineers, and material supply houses.

NECA Ohio/Michigan Chapter covers the following counties in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan: Ohio counties include Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putman, Sandusky, Seneca, Williams, and Wood. Michigan counties include Hillsdale, Lenawee, and Monroe.
