Custom Carpentry is owned and operated by Syd Michelson, a seasoned professional with a passion for building and remodeling. With a California State License as a Class B General Building Contractor (License Number: 979258), Syd has the skills and expertise to handle a wide range of projects, from building houses from the ground up to remodeling bathrooms and kitchens.

Syd started Custom Carpentry because he loves the work. Growing up, he learned the ins and outs of residential building by working with his father on various projects. Since then, he has continued to hone his skills and expand his knowledge, becoming proficient in all aspects of construction, from foundation to finish.

One of the key benefits of working with Custom Carpentry is that Syd works alone, ensuring that the customer deals directly with the person who is designing, writing the contract, and performing the work. This eliminates confusion between the plans and the outcome, and ensures that the final product meets the customer's expectations.
