At Piano Wrangler, we are Austin's most innovative piano moving service, boasting over 22 years of experience in safely moving pianos into homes and businesses. We are dedicated to providing top-quality service and ensuring that your piano is moved safely and efficiently. Our team uses specialized tools, such as "The Piano Horse" and "Floorguards, " which were invented by our founder, Gordon Crail, to place pianos in places other movers deem impossible.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services, including in-house moves, on-site moves, and piano storage. Our prices vary depending on the type and size of the piano, as well as any additional charges for stairs, electronic player pianos, mechanical player upright pianos, and mechanical player grand pianos.

For in-house moves, we charge between $135 and $250 for vertical pianos and between $200 and $350 for grand pianos. For on-site moves, our base price for a move within the Austin area starts at $155 for vertical pianos and $180 for grand pianos. We also offer piano storage at a rate of $75 per month.

Extended Local and Long Distance Moves

For moves outside of the Austin area, we charge an extended local rate of $35 for Buda, Steiner Ranch, Volente, Lakeway, Georgetown, Kyle, and long distance moves at a rate of $2.80 per mile.

Piano Wrangler Pricing Philosophy

We believe in working smarter, not harder. We do not charge for work not done, and we prefer to work as little as possible. If there are stairs at a location that can be avoided, we'll avoid them if it makes the job easier. However, we are not the lowest priced piano movers in Austin, and that's not our goal. Piano Wrangler is definitely the best in Austin. Moves that are considered "impossible" or that require special equipment start in the $550 range. The extra costs stem from the extra men, equipment, time, expertise, and risks involved. We can place any piano anywhere, but at some point it becomes cost prohibitive.
