Our story began in downtown Cincinnati, where we first established ourselves as a trusted provider of window treatments. Over the years, we've built a reputation for excellence, moving our office and showroom to 6080 State Route 128 in Miamitown in 2007.

Our History

Handy Window Shade Inc. was founded by Art Meckstroth in 1901. After years of establishing ourselves, Ralph Meckstroth took ownership in 1910. In 1943, we moved to a new location at 905 Vine Street, where we continued to grow. Ralph Meckstroth II inherited the business in 1975 and managed it for 15 years before passing it on to his sons, Greg and Ralph Meckstroth III, in 1990. Today, we are proud to be a part of the Meckstroth family's legacy, carrying on the tradition of quality and service.
