*Selling Your Furniture*

Clearing House has helped over 11,000 clients sell furniture since our Jacksonville store was opened more than 30 years ago. We have a busy location, a huge following of loyal shoppers, and a reputation for value and service. Our experienced staff can price your items properly to ensure they sell quickly and for the highest possible price. With no opening up your house to strangers, no broken appointments, and no haggling over prices, selling at Clearing House is a stress-free and profitable experience. We are happy to take 1 item or an entire house full of furniture. We are successful at selling over 95% of the items we take in.

*How the Consignment Process Works*

When you consign furniture at Clearing House, you agree to allow Clearing House to sell your furniture for you. Once an item has sold, you will be paid 50% of the sales price. Your furniture will be placed for sale in our showroom for a period of 90 days. During this time, our experienced staff will evaluate your furniture and give each item a price where it is expected to sell within the consignment period. If an item has not sold after 30 days, it will be marked down 15%. If it remains unsold after 60 days, it will be marked down an additional 15%. In the event an item has not sold after 90 days, you will have 5 days to come retrieve it.

*Small Items You Can Sell at Clearing House*

Clearing House accepts small items for consignment, including lamps, mirrors, framed art, clocks, vases, silk florals, sculptures, figurines, crystal, china, serving dishes, table ornaments, and more. These items can be brought into the store during business hours, and a consignment desk associate will assist in determining if the items are marketable in the store. A sales price will be determined based on factors such as market demand, brand, quality, and condition of the items.

*Large Furniture Items You Can Sell at Clearing House*

Clearing House accepts large furniture items for consignment, including tables, chairs, bookcases, entertainment centers, wall units, sofas, loveseats, recliners, chaises, serving carts, bakers racks, desks, credenzas, buffets, hutches, beds, dressers, chests, armoires, area rugs, room dividers, grandfather clocks, and more. For large furniture items, photos should be submitted through the Submit Items Form on the website or emailed to info@clearinghousejax.com. Once photos are received, our staff will contact you to discuss selling prices and to schedule your items to be delivered to the store.

At Clearing House, we pride ourselves on accepting only quality furniture that is in good physical condition. We do not accept upholstered furniture or rugs from homes with pets or smokers. We do not accept upholstered furniture with rips, odors, or stains. We do not accept furniture that is broken or missing parts. We do not accept furniture that is made with particle board.
