Our company was born out of Templeton Link & Associates (TL&A), which began operations in 1950. For over 40 years, TL&A offered engineering and surveying services to clients along the Wasatch Front. In 1991, Larry Gilson, a project manager for TL&A, purchased the company and Gilson Engineering was established. Today, Gilson Engineering continues to offer civil and structural engineering services, surveying services, and construction management services.

We are a Utah corporation, licensed to do work in Utah, and our staff consists of professional engineers, EITs, surveyors, civil designers, drafters, and administrative staff. Our team works together to provide customized solutions for each client's unique project needs. We believe that the first technical solution might not always be the best solution for the owner because each project is unique and requires a comprehensive approach that considers institutional, economic, legal, and social intervention.
