Our Story

The story of LCS Landscaping, LLC began in 2007 with a young man named Shep and a passion for landscaping. While juggling a full course load at Thomas Nelson Community College, Shep launched "Lawncare by Shep, " building the foundation for what would become a thriving business. Shep's dedication and hard work saw him through his Associate degree in Business, all while tending to the needs of his growing client base. As "Lawncare by Shep" gained momentum, Shep's friend and business partner, Grant, entered the scene. After graduating with a dual degree in Natural Resource Conservation and Mathematics from Virginia Tech in 2011, Grant began his career as a Utility Forester managing tree trimming crews. His experience in managing multiple crews and his keen eye for detail proved to be invaluable assets to Shep's operation.

In 2013, Grant joined forces with Shep, combining their complementary skills and expertise to elevate "Lawncare by Shep" to new heights. Together, they recognized the need for a clear and distinct identity within the competitive landscaping industry. Thus, in 2014, they rebranded their business as LCS Landscaping, LLC, a name that reflected their commitment to providing exceptional landscaping services and their shared vision for the future.
