"Help me to do it alone." - Empowering Children for a Brighter Future
Mountain View Montessori is a school that embodies the principles of Maria Montessori's innovative educational approach. With a rich history that spans over 150 years, our school has been dedicated to providing a nurturing environment that facilitates children's natural desire to learn and discover. Our mission is to create a safe and supportive environment where every child's educational, emotional, physical, and social needs are respected and fulfilled.
Our journey began in 2011 when Leah Bjerke, a Montessori-trained educator, founded Mountain View Montessori. With the guidance of Patti Filak, a renowned Montessori expert, Leah established the school's foundation on the principles of Maria Montessori. Today, our school is proud to have a collective staff experience of over 150 years in Montessori education, early childhood teaching, and childcare.

Our Philosophy
At Mountain View Montessori, we believe that children learn best when they are given the freedom to explore, discover, and create. Our teachers are trained to facilitate this process, providing guidance and support when needed. We believe that every child is unique and deserves to be respected and valued. Our classrooms are designed to be child-centered, allowing children to take ownership of their learning journey.
Parent Testimonials
Our parents have shared their positive experiences and testimonials about our school. "As parents, one of the most helpful aspects is our interaction with the staff. Ms. Leah and Ms. Karla have worked with us in learning about our children, and answered our questions about their progress in life. The staff is always willing to answer questions and work with us as a family to make our children's experiences the best possible." - Parent Testimonial
