We offer care ranging from two to twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, tailored to each client's individual needs. Our Team

Better Living Home Care was founded by Carl Montgomery, who brings first-hand caregiving experience and a deep commitment to quality care. Our team is made up primarily of friends, family members, and long-time colleagues - people we know and trust. We believe in building relationships, not just providing care, and our personal approach ensures that there is a familiar, friendly face to share each day with our clients.

Decades of care manager experience have taught us how to make the best caregiver matches for our clients. We take the time to understand each client's unique needs and preferences, allowing us to refer the right caregiver for them. This careful matching process fosters genuine friendships between our clients and their caregivers.

Caregiving Services

We offer a range of home care services designed to meet the unique needs of our clients:

• Personal Care: Our caregivers provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Homemaking: We help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks.
• Companionship: Our caregivers provide companionship and emotional support, engaging in activities such as conversation, hobbies, and games.
• Alzheimer's and Dementia Care: We provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, focusing on safety, familiar routines, and behavior management.
• Fall Prevention: Our caregivers take steps to reduce the risk of falls, such as removing trip hazards and providing assistance with mobility.
• Caregiver Stress Support: We support our clients' family caregivers, offering resources, counseling, and respite care.

Areas We Cover

Better Living Home Care offers care ranging from two to twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, in the following areas:

• Hartford County
• Tolland County
• Middlesex County
• New London County
• New Haven County

We cover hourly shifts in the first three counties, with expansion into New London and New Haven Counties. We also provide 24-hour live-in care throughout Connecticut.
