Empowering the Hospitality Industry in Georgia
Welcome to the Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association (GHLA), the official state partner of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. Since 1907, we have been representing the interests of Georgia's vibrant and diverse lodging industry, including hotels, motels, resorts, campgrounds, bed & breakfasts, and other allied members. Our mission is to promote, protect, and educate the industry around the state and ensure positive business growth for our members.
Georgia's lodging industry is an integral part of the state's economy, generating $3.7 billion in direct sales and accounting for 9.7% of all jobs in Georgia. With more than 168,000 hotel rooms spread over 1,845+ properties, our industry plays a vital role in supporting $54.3 billion in total sales throughout the state. Our reach extends beyond just providing comfortable accommodations and convenient meeting spaces. We are interconnected with transportation, restaurants, agriculture, manufacturing, and recreation industries, supporting $25 billion in tourism expenditures, $6 billion in resident wages, and 209,500 Georgia jobs.
As a non-partisan trade association, GHLA is dedicated to assisting our members in governmental affairs, communication, education, hospitality services, member relations, and technology. Our membership includes the Atlanta Hotel Council, Atlanta Airport Hotel Council, Buckhead Hotel Council, Cobb Hotel Council, Perimeter Hotel Council, and Georgia Women in Lodging. Together, we create a powerful network of professionals and leaders committed to the growth and success of the Georgia lodging industry.
